SUBMIT YOUR COINS FOR GRADING
GRADING
Grading is a way of determining the physical condition of a coin. Grades range from Poor (almost completely worn out) to Perfect Uncirculated (a coin with absolutely no wear and no flaws of any kind). Over 99.9% of all coins fall somewhere between these two extremes.

REHOLDER
The “Reholder” service applies to coins that are currently graded and encapsulated by PCGS that the customer would like placed into the most current PCGS holder. For this submission type, the coins will not be graded. The coins will be received and then inspected by a member of the grading team to determine that the coin and PCGS holder are authentic. Once it is determined that the holder and coin are genuine, the coin will be removed and placed into a new PCGS holder. This service is generally used for coins that are housed in PCGS holders that have been damaged, or to create consistency within a collection.
REGRADE
The “Regrade” service applies to coins that are already encapsulated and graded by PCGS. If a customer feels that their coin may qualify for a newly recognized variety or warrants a different grade, but they do not want to remove the coin themselves, this service may be used. PCGS will receive the coin, note the grade it arrived, remove it from the holder, grade the coin raw. The coin will not return at a lower grade than it was received. If a coin is received as a PCGS MS65, it will be returned to the customer as a PCGS MS65 or higher; never lower.REGRADE
RECONSIDERATION
RECONSIDERATION™ is a service from PCGS that allows you to submit your coins for regrading without the risk of a potential crack out if the coin does not receive an upgrade.
CROSSOVER
Coin is removed from current holder and crossed over to PCGS holder; you are charged the standard grading fee + 1% Guarantee Premium.

NCS CONSERVATION
NCS first evaluates a coin to determine if it will benefit from conservation. If it will not benefit from conservation, NCS transfers the coin directly to NGC for certification.
If NCS determines that a coin will benefit from conservation, it performs the necessary conservation techniques. After conservation is complete, NCS transfers the coin to NGC for certification.
CERTIFICATION
SETTING THE STANDARD FOR QUALITY.
Within each number of the coin grading scale is a small range of condition from low-end to high-end. Certified coins of the same grade can be of varying quality. Many of today’s collectors want coins that are solid or premium quality for their assigned grade. CAC holds coins to a higher standard so you can be confident in the value of yours. We verify previously graded coins … and award our sticker only to those coins that meet the standard for today’s selective buyer.
Verified
Your coin has been verified as meeting the standard for strict quality within its grade.
Added Liquidity
CAC stands behind our verification by making markets in most actively traded coins.
CAC was founded by leading members of the numismatic community, including John Albanese, a respected authority on coin grading and the rare coin market.
